Beal & Bunker has operated a ferry service between the Cranberries and Northeast Harbor since 1950.In 2018 brothers Joe Flores and Paul Hewes took over the year round Ferry Service to ensure that Islanders and Tourists would have a reliable source of transportation. 

 Being raised on the islands, both brothers have a personal connection to the business and the communities that they serve. Paul began deck handing at 14, his younger brother Joe soon followed in his footsteps at just 11 years old as a volunteer, and later a crew member himself. Both brothers have a passion for the water and love meeting new people and helping their local community.  Neither Joe nor Paul ever dreamed that one day they would be the proud owners of the business that was such a vital part of their lives.
